Dan Cahill Dan Cahill is a smart eleven year old boy that is the norm for an eleven year old. He easily gets bored with things his bright sister, Amy Cahill, enjoys. The one thing that separates him from the normal eleven year old boy is his memory. He can remember everything he sees if he just takes a minute to memorize it. His memory and cleverness come in handy when Amy and Dan Cahill choose to go on a treasure hunt at their grandmother's funeral to find the most powerful information in the world. The two will compete against other teams for the information, and all of them are left with only one clue. Amy Cahill Amy Cahill is a mature, intelligent fourteen year old girl. She lives in an apartment with her 11 year old brother in Boston, Massachusetts, with her au pair, or nanny, Nellie Gomez. Amy and her brother's legal guardian is their great aunt because the siblings' parents died in a fire years ago. The only real family that Amy and her brother are close to is their grandmother, Grace Cahill. When Grace dies, many people in the family (400+) show up to receive their share of Grace's great fortune. When Amy and Dan choose to go on a treasure hunt to find the most powerful information in the world, instead of their choice of two million dollars, they are once again left as orphans when their aunt leaves them after taking her one million dollars. All Amy and her brother are left with is a clue. They study the clue and realize they will have to go to Paris, France, to follow the path of Benjamin Franklin.
